Biografia
Senior Advisor to Roland Berger; Senior Advisor of Third Parties & Partners; Member of the Scientific Committee of the Sudi Center for Applied Economics (CSEA) of the Catholic University of Milan. He has held senior management roles in the world of banking, Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth Management. General Manager of Banco Bpm and Banco Popolare in the period 2012-2019, during the previous decade he was CFO and Deputy General Manager of both Banco Popolare di Verona e Novara and Banca Popolare di Verona, as well as Chief Executive Officer of Banca Aletti. Member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Banking Association (ABI) and of the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund from 2017 to 2019, of the Italian Stock Exchange from 2000 to 2011. He has held positions as Chairman or Member of the Board of Directors in numerous companies operating in the Corporate & Investment Banking (Banca Akros, Efibanca, Aletti Merchant), Asset Management (Arca, AlettiGestielle), Private Equity (SEIEF, AF Mezzanine, Aletti Private Equity, Palladio Finanziaria) and Leasing (Alba Leasing). He was a member of the Board of Directors of Credito Bergamasco (in the period 2007-2014) and of Banca Popolare di Novara (2007-2011). During the 1990s he assumed roles of increasing responsibility at Credito Bergamasco, at the time part of the French Group Crédit Lyonnais, with which he collaborated in the Finance/Capital Markets areas for seven years. In the 1980s he gained experience in the corporate advisory area and at Directorate General VI of the European Commission in Brussels. Graduated in Economics at the University of Parma and in Political Sciences at the University of Milan, he was Professor of Statistics of Monetary and Financial Markets at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Bergamo for fifteen years. He is the author of numerous articles in the economic-financial field for specialist journals such as Minerva Bancaria and the International Review of Social Sciences (Vita e Pensiero). He has always been involved in the Third Sector and in Culture, through voluntary work in various national realities.
